Making a positive difference to people’s lives is the greatest reward. The role of councillor is one where I can be part of bringing community aspirations to life.
The best solutions are generated by all the people of Kaipara working together with a shared vision and a clear plan.
Having the courage to think independently, speak up for my community and make decisions that are the best fit.
Local government is accountable to the ratepayers – that’s what civil service means. The community has the right to know what is happening in their name and to voice their views accordingly.
There is no shortcut to turning up well prepared, switching your brain on and engaging fully with the community and the issues we face. My attendance record speaks for itself.
